Pick My Project

All governments face a dilemma: how to best serve their constituents. So when the Victorian Government earmarked $30 million for community improvements, they asked one big question. What’s the best way to spend it?

Introducing Pick My Project, a government campaign that handed power to its citizens.

Client: State Government of Victoria

Spanning print, digital and radio, we invited Victorians to think about where they live and imagine the improvements they wanted to see.

Citizens were encouraged to describe their idea, imagine how it would benefit the community, and how much they would need to make it happen.

Every application could request anywhere from $20,000 up to $200,000. Significant numbers with life-changing potential.

But submitting ideas was only part of the story. We wanted the public to pick them, too. Supported by print, radio and social, Victorians were invited to vote for the changes they believed in.
